Which Email Service Provider Should You Use for Your Enneagram Business?
If you’re an Enneagram coach, teacher, or creative—email marketing is one of the best ways to grow your business with consistency and authenticity.
But figuring out which email service provider (ESP) to use?
That can feel like another tech rabbit hole you didn’t sign up for. 😵💫
I’ve been there. I started out with Kit (formerly ConvertKit), and more recently switched to Flodesk because I wanted emails that felt beautiful, aligned, and easy to send without getting lost in the tech.

1. Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — Best for Beginners Who Want Room to Grow
This is the platform I started on, and I still recommend it to most Enneagram entrepreneurs who are just getting started.
Kit is powerful, flexible, and built specifically for creators.
Why I love it:
Super easy to set up tags, sequences, and automations (great for subtypes or offers)
Great deliverability (your emails actually get seen)
Integrates well with most tools (Calendly, Squarespace, digital products, etc.)
Supports growth: from freebie funnels to full launches
Things to watch out for:
The free plan is a little limited (only one automation sequence)
Design customization isn’t as intuitive or beautiful as Flodesk
Pricing increases as your subscriber count grows
Cost Overview:
Free for up to 1,000 subscribers (but with limited features)
Paid plans start around $33/month for more automation, integrations, and unlimited sequences

2. Flodesk — Best for Beautiful Emails & Ease of Use
This is what I use now, and I love it.
Flodesk makes sending emails feel like a creative act again. No code, no overwhelm, just gorgeous templates, simple flows, and flat-rate pricing no matter how big your list grows.
(Note: Flodesk has announced its Unlimited Plan will be ending by November 28, 2025. Lock in the pricing before they switch to subscriber-based plans.)
Why I love it:
Designer-quality emails that look beautiful right out of the box
Simple and intuitive drag-and-drop interface
Flat pricing (no penalty as your list grows!)
Easy to build opt-ins and welcome sequences
Things to keep in mind:
Automation features are more limited (not ideal for super advanced logic)
Fewer integrations compared to Kit or ActiveCampaign
No A/B testing or in-depth segmentation (yet)
Cost Overview:
Flat rate of around $38/month for unlimited subscribers and sends (until November 2025)

3. Mailchimp — Best for Bare-Bones Beginners (But Watch the Upgrades)
Mailchimp is the ESP most people have heard of, and it’s often where people start.
It’s not my personal favorite, but it can work in the early stages if you’re experimenting.
What’s good:
Free plan for up to 500 contacts
Decent templates and built-in landing pages
Lots of integrations with other tools
What’s tricky:
Automation features are very limited unless you upgrade
The UI can feel clunky and a bit overwhelming
Pricing jumps quickly as your list grows—and you’ll pay even for unsubscribed contacts
Less intuitive than Flodesk or Kit
Cost Overview:
Free for up to 500 contacts and 1,000 email sends/month
Paid plans start around $13/month, but can scale fast
👉 If you’re just testing the waters and need something free to start, Mailchimp might work, but be ready to upgrade quickly or migrate when things get serious.
4. ActiveCampaign — Best for Funnels, Tags, & Complex Automations
ActiveCampaign is for you if you love the idea of building powerful, behavior-based automations—like sending different emails based on Enneagram type, interest, or whether someone clicked a link.
Great for:
Advanced automation and segmentation (hello, subtype-specific workflows!)
Built-in CRM for tracking leads and pipelines
Great deliverability and engagement tracking
Scales well for growing businesses
Not-so-great for:
Steeper learning curve than other platforms
Overkill if you’re just sending newsletters and a welcome sequence
More expensive and complex setup
Cost Overview:
Starts around $29/month for the Lite plan
Advanced plans with full automation and CRM tools cost more as your list grows
👉 If you’re a more advanced user or ready to build full customer journeys and funnels, ActiveCampaign is worth the investment, but it’s probably too much for beginners.
5. Kajabi — Best All-In-One (But Email Isn’t Its Strength)
Kajabi is primarily a course and membership platform, but it also includes email marketing tools.
If you’re already using Kajabi for your courses or coaching offers, it can be convenient to keep everything under one roof.
Why it might work:
Everything’s integrated: website, courses, email, funnels, checkout
Simple broadcast and sequence options
Great for non-techy folks who want fewer tools
Why it might not:
Email features are very basic (limited tagging, no deep automations)
Templates aren’t as pretty or flexible as Flodesk
You’re paying premium prices for convenience, not depth
Cost Overview:
Starts at $69–$149/month (includes site, products, checkout, and email)
👉 If Kajabi is your business hub already, it may be enough for now—but if email becomes your main lead channel, you may outgrow it.

You’re starting out but want to grow over time
You like the idea of selling digital products directly from your ESP
Choose Flodesk if…
You want emails that feel like you (polished and beautiful)
You get overwhelmed by tech
You want flat pricing and an easy setup
Choose Mailchimp if…
You’re on a super tight budget and just testing email marketing
You don’t need much more than basic broadcasts
Choose ActiveCampaign if…
You want advanced automation, segmentation, and CRM features
You’re building multi-step funnels and client journeys
Choose Kajabi if…
You’re already using it for your website or courses
You’re okay with simple email tools for the sake of convenience
